We have entered a new and dangerous period in earth's history, and the survival of the human race is at risk. Today's Middle East is threatening to boil over. The region is the focal point of the fast-approaching LAST DAYS OF THIS AGE. It is time to wake up. Time to see the true significance of the perilous times in which we live! All nations will be drawn into the Middle East crisis. It is the focal point of Bible prophecy. Bible prophecies picture an end-time world filled with lawlessness, lust, aggression and hate -- a world split by warring factions and international disputes; an era of rampant, indiscriminate violence and murder inspired by Satan, the original murderer ( John 8:44)
WE ARE LIVING IN THOSE VERY DAYS!
Man, apart from God, can NOT control terrorism. The United States can NOT stop it. Russia can NOT stop it. And the United Nations can NOT stop anything! As long as Satan's evil influence remains, terrorism and crime will escalate, despite man's attempts to stem it. Force will continue to rule the world. Man will continue to answer violence with violence. Is there a way out of this chaos? Jews, Muslims and Christians look to the coming of a Messiah to set things right; but only Christians worship Christ as God's only begotten Son.
For thousands of years, Jews have awaited a Redeemer foretold by the prophets. The word "Messiah" comes from the Hebrew word "mashiah," meaning "anointed" (the Greek equivalent is "Christos"). But when Jesus Christ appeared he flatly rejected the "so-called" Jews: "...I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan" Rev 2:9 and said: "Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition" Mark 7:8,9. So the Jews rejected Christ, rejected His birthright, and crucified Him (cf. I Thess 2:14-15).Christians, especially those in the Middle East, likewise await a Messiah -- Jesus the Christ -- who promised his disciples that he would come again ( John 14:3).
And Muslims, too, expect a Messiah or "Mahdi" who will restore pure religion and usher in a golden age. And some Muslims even believe that Jesus or "Isa" will himself return as Mahdi in the last days -- and they are RIGHT! Although Muslims revere Jesus as the "sinless prophet", With Jesus' return -- the messianic "Prince of Peace" ( Isaiah 9:6), the "desire of all nations" ( Hag 2:7) -- the great dream of many faiths will at last be realized! All nations and all peoples will come to recognize Jesus as the Messiah for whom they have all been waiting. Jesus Christ will establish his government on earth, with Jerusalem as world headquarters ( Mic 4:1-2; Zech 14:8-9). Church and state will be one, Satan the murderer and Father of Lies will be locked away ( Rev 20:1-3), and all nations will dwell together in peace and harmony. There will be one Church, one God, one religion, one Supreme Government ( Rev 19:16). That is the good news -- the GOSPEL -- that Jesus Christ brought. The Gospel is also a message about "government," not just about the "person" of Jesus Christ. It is a message almost universally misrepresented and misunderstood. There is "good" news beyond the prophesied chaos and war -- a millenium of peace and prosperity for all! From the destruction of war, the world will erupt into "global peace," based on the eternal laws of God!
