My high school social science teacher illustrated how different America was from Russia by explaining to us THE 14TH AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION: "No person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law." We were proud to be citizens of a country where peoples' rights were guaranteed, protected against even the government. To protect our "freedom" and preserve our "liberty," the administration takes away the most basic right of all, our right to life, liberty and property protected by the courts. Yet that is exactly what happened to U.S. citizen John Padilla, a small-time crook now held in a Navy brig in Charleston. Padilla is a Muslim. He's a crook. He may even have contemplated a terrorist act. But he is also an American citizen. Until ASHCROFT REPEALED THE 14TH AMENDMENT to the Constitution, citizens had certain rights. WE'LL NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH of Ashcroft's charges because the administration won't allow it to be challenged in court. The closest parallel to Hitler's behavior was in Bush's approach to Iraq. It is clear that he was determined - despite all facts contrary to his claims, despite the heroic efforts of weapons inspectors, despite the voice of most of the world's diplomatic community, and despite demonstrations by millions - to invade Iraq. The litany of false and even irrelevant claims made over and over combined with his LACK OF SHAME OR EMBARRASSMENT when found out time and time again, closely mimics Hitler -- who more or less invented the "big lie" technique - SOURCE.
(23 MAR 2003) NADER CALLS BUSH "DICTATOR" - Ralph Nader said the Iraq War developed from "a messianic militaristic determination turned by a closed mind, facilitated by a cowering Congress and opposition Democrat Party and undeterred by a 'probing' press." Bush is acting "in effect as a selected dictator," Nader told the Mercury News... "The president has not listened to...retired admirals, generals and foreign-policy experts who have warned against the war," ... "And the stated reasons for going to war `have either been disproved or greatly distorted.'"

E.B. WHITE (1898-1985), author of CHARLOTTE'S WEB, also worked for years at the NEW YORKER magazine. Today's BUSH DOCTRINE is a virtual "clone" of Zionist Paul Wolfowitz's extremely UNPOPULAR Defense Policy Guidance -- offered to/rejected by George Bush, Sr., in 1992 -- which replaced the standard "containment" foreign policy with the radical "pre-emption/prevention" policy President GW Bush is currenty using against Iraq. A policy which Bush expanded in March of 2002 to include the use of NUCLEAR WEAPONS against the nations on his SECRET "Axis of Evil" HIT LIST, to wit:
The Mirror in London reported on Nov. 20 that Richard Perle, head of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Review Board... "admitted the U.S. would attack Iraq even if UN inspectors fail to find weapons." The article quoted a British member of parliament: "This...exposes AMERICA'S REAL DETERMINATION TO BOMB IRAQ" - SOURCE.

President Bush defended the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and pledged that "we'll reveal the truth" on Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction... Bush noted the recent discovery in northern Iraq of what U.S. intelligence agencies say are probably each part of a mobile biological weapons production facility. No complete production system has been found. Neither trailer had any biological agent inside, nor showed any signs that they had been used to produce biological weapons... Bush pointed to the two trailers to say, "We found THE weapons of mass destruction" - SOURCE.
Once upon a time, we impeached a sitting President for lying under oath about sexual trysts. No one died, no one had their legs or arms or face or genitals blown off because of the lies of a President who had been caught with his pants down. Today in America, we endure a sitting President who lied for months about the threat posed by a sovereign nation. That nation was invaded and attacked, and thousands died because of it. The aftereffects of this action will be felt for generations to come. The very democracy which gives us meaning as a country has been put in peril by these deeds. When the smoke cleared, every reason for that war was proven to be a lie.
Of course, there will be no impeachment with a Republican Congress. This must not dissuade us from demanding satisfaction. Let the House be brought to order. Gavel the members to attention, and let the evidence be brought forth. Let there be justice for the living and the dead. Let this man Bush be impeached and cleansed from office for the lies he has told. These are not innocent lies. The dead remember - SOURCE.
