Saga of the staged statue sacrifice

It now appears that the toppling of Saddam's statue in Baghdad was
simply a media circus, organized by the U.S. government to help promote
its war. Two wide-angle photos of the square in which the statue stood
bely the message of a large Iraqi crowd.
